Viti Lee Tackett, 90 years of age, was born on December 29, 1934 in Trumann, Arkansas. She passed peacefully to her heavenly home on June 17, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and America Jane Hunt, her son, Randy Tackett, her brothers, Buster Hunt and Eugene Hunt, sisters, Lucille Hunt, Mary Agnes Cain and Emily Mae Russell.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Floyd Tackett; her son, Terry Tackett (Karen), her daughter, Cindy Hines, along with a total of 21 grand and great grandchildren and her sister, Mildred Bloodworth.
She faithfully supported her husband’s pastoral ministry, as they served in 9 churches over 58 years. She was soft spoken, never one to raise her voice, but also a firecracker who had zero issues being very direct. She had an amazing sense of humor, which kept the entire family laughing. She was very competitive with her card and domino games. She would never admit it, but she would “bend the rules,” and we would know by her giggles. She did not like losing and would hand pick her card and domino teammates based on whom she thought could beat the others. She wrote an entire series of Christian books, loved to paint and work crossword puzzles. She also was a superb Bible teacher and great story teller. Her strong faith is a legacy to her family.
Her visitation will be 1-2pm, Friday, June 20, 2025 at Russellville Family Funeral with her funeral service beginning at 2pm. Rev. Dan Baker will officiate. Burial will follow in Shiloh-Williamson Cemetery in Russellville.
