Sue Roberts, 77, of Dover, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
Sue was born on June 7, 1947, in Dover, Arkansas, to Douglas E. Casey Sr. and Rosie Harris Casey. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Danny Roberts, her brother-in-law, Carl Roberts, her sister-in-law, Delena Casey, and her nephew, Evan Casey.
Sue’s love story began in 1968 when she met Danny Roberts. After a short courtship, the two were married on July 27, 1968, and together they built a life filled with love, joy, and family.A loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Sue was the heart and soul of her family. Her love for others extended far beyond her immediate family. She was known for her warm hospitality, often cooking meals for anyone in need, whether family, friends, or neighbors. If she wasn’t selling Avon or mowing the yard, she was at the stove, ensuring no one ever left her house hungry.Sue had a unique gift for making friends wherever she went, especially later in life when she discovered Facebook. Through the platform, she built connections with people all over the world. But it was her faith that defined her most. A devout member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Dover for over 35 years, Sue was a prayer warrior, always lifting up those she loved in prayer. Her unwavering relationship with Jesus was evident to everyone who knew her.
Sue is survived by her sons, Scott Roberts and wife Kate, and Keith Roberts and wife Natalie; her grandchildren, Christopher Roberts, Daniel Roberts, and Madison Roberts; her brothers, Doug Casey, Jr., Chuck Casey and Laura “Boo”, Robert Casey and Darla, and Jack Casey and Cathy; her brother-in-law, Mark Roberts; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss her deeply.
Her family will receive friends during a visitation from 5-7pm, Tuesday, June 3, 2024, at Russellville Family Funeral. A celebration of her life will take place at 2:00pm, Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at First Free Will Baptist Church in Dover, with Bro. Ben Baughman officiating. Pallbearers will include Scott Roberts, Keith Roberts, Chuck Casey, Robert Casey, Jack Casey, Mark Roberts, and Daniel Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Casey, Jr., Travis Casey, Todd Casey, and Brandon Casey.Sue’s legacy of love, kindness, and prayer will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family is comforted knowing she is in the arms of Jesus, where she longed to be.
