Sue Tolbert Bennett

Sue C. Bennett, 91 of Knoxville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, June 15, 2026. She was born April 22, 1935, in Clarksville, Arkansas to Horace and Georgia Mae (Ricketts) Tolbert. She was preceded in death by parents, loving husband, William "Bill" Bennett and sisters Mary Jo Hurley and Jonnie Kay Westbrook.

Sue and Bill were members of Hedgeway Church in Lamar. Sue was a loving, devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She has been playing bridge with a group of ladies since 1960. For over 26 years, she owned Young's Furniture Store in Clarksville. One of her fondest memories was the annual family 4th of July celebration, hosted by Sue and Bill for many years.

She is survived by her children, Dr. Michael Young (Deborah), Greg Young (Nancy), bonus children, William Bennett, Jr. (Beth), Bryan Bennett (Roxie), LouAnn Bennett (Pat), 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, brother-in-law, John Bennett, sister-in-law, Eve Bennett; as well as numerous other family and friends.

Her visitation will be 11am-12pm, Friday, July 3, 2026 at Hedgeway Church in Lamar. The funeral will begin at 12pm, following the visitation, with Rev. Don Alexander officiating..
