Saad Nicholas Faddoul

Saad Nicholas Faddoul peacefully passed away, at the age of 90, in his home on March 22, 2026.

Saad was born in Tel Abbas, Lebanon, May 27 1935, to parents, Nicolas and Zahia, and grew up with his 4 siblings, Fuad, Elias, Hanna and Nicolas. In 1957, he began his journey to the United States with a deep appreciation for learning and education. He attended schools in North Carolina and Idaho, eventually making his home in Russellville, Arkansas, where he lived the rest of his life and became a valued member of the community.

Saad devoted his life to education. He began teaching math and science in 1970 in Dardanelle, AR and later taught in Russellville, AR, until his retirement in 2007. Over the course of more than four decades, he inspired countless students with his patience, intellect, and commitment.

In his later years, Saad found comfort and community in his faith, attending First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Russellville. His quiet belief and steady presence reflected a life guided by humility, gratitude, and trust in God.

During retirement, he cherished time spent with his close circle of fellow teachers and friends, maintaining the relationships he had built over a lifetime in education.

Saad will be remembered as a thoughtful and disciplined man, someone who believed in the value of hard work. His journey from Lebanon to the United States reflects a life defined by love and determination.

His legacy lives on not only through his family, but also through the many students whose lives he helped shape over the years. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Saad is preceded in death by his mother and father, Nicolas and Zahia, as well as his brothers Fuad, Elias, and Hanna. He is survived by his three children: his two sons, Nicolas (Cornelia) Faddoul and Joseph (Becki) Faddoul, and his daughter, Lisa James; along with five granddaughters and also leaves behind his brother Nicolas and his family.

A funeral service, followed by a celebration of Saad’s life will be held at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Russellville on April 18th at 2pm.

Memorials may be made to the Pope County Senior Wellness and Activities Center, 1010 N Rochester in Russellville. Please note “In loving memory of Saad Faddoul.”
