In Loving Memory of
Rhonda Renée Smith (Kingsborough)
November 21, 1953 – October 10, 2025A Life Rooted in Faith, Family, and Love
It is with deep sorrow and hopeful hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Rhonda Renée Smith (Kingsborough), who was called Home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 10, 2025, at the age of 71.
Born in Richmond, California, Rhonda lived a life of grace, thoughtfulness, and devotion to her Faith, her family, and all who were blessed to know her. On December 18, 1971, she married Charles Goldsberry, and together they welcomed two sons, a foster daughter, and six grandsons. After their separation, Rhonda found renewed joy when she married Richard Smith on November 29, 1997, gaining two cherished stepdaughters and a life filled with adventure, love, and family.
Rhonda found her greatest joy in being a mother, stepmother, and grandmother. She delighted in time spent with her treasured grandchildren, playing with her beloved dog Marcie, and expressing her creativity through photography, sewing, crafting, and baking. Holidays and family gatherings were her favorite moments in decorating, cooking, laughing, and watching the family she loved grow and flourish.
After retiring from Safeway, Rhonda cared selflessly for her mother, Mary Lee (Nana), while embracing the simple joys of retirement, hikes, visits with siblings, and quiet mornings with coffee and crafts.
Rhonda is lovingly remembered by her husband, Richard (Papa); her children Wesley (Gina), Aaron (Alison), and Stacy; stepdaughters Amber and Angie (Ronnie); 6 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, and 2 great-grandson; her sisters Rose (Dan) and Robin (Dennis); her brother Richard (Cindy); as well as many adored nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary Kingsbourough, her ex-husband Charles, and two grandsons, Vincent and Kodiak.
