Peggy Jean King

Peggy Jean King, 84 of Atkins, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born September 26, 1937 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Fred and Ida Mae Evans. She was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Jim King.  

Peggy retired from Arkla Gas Company.  Anyone who knew Peggy, knew she had a love for all animals, especially horses.  Peggy was very active in the horse shows and rodeos.  

She is survived by her loving son, Harry Fred Roark and wife Gayle of Zachary, Louisiana; grandchildren, Stevie Nelson of Zachary, Louisiana and Meghan Nelson of Hammond, Louisiana;  three sisters, Patsy Evans, Jerri Woodfield, Frances Dean all of Royse City, Texas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and  other family and friends. 

There are no services planned at this time.
