Paula Faye Gallagher, age 66, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away surrounded by family on June 13, 2024.

Paula was born on March 4, 1958 in West Memphis, Arkansas to Morgan and Nellie Lassiter. She was a graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a B.S of Education and M.A. of Educational Administration. She impacted hundreds of children in her 26-year career as a teacher and administrator at Center Valley Elementary, St. John Catholic School, Good Counsel Catholic School, and Dwight Elementary. She was a champion of literacy, serving as a volunteer reading tutor even after retirement. Paula loved to travel, garden (especially flowers), and shop for shoes and purses. 

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Matthew Gallagher; her children, Jessica (Austin, TX) and Sam (England, AR); her sister, Patsy Manley (Naston) of Springdale, Arkansas; and sister-in-law, Lisa Lassiter of Fuquay Varina, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother George Lassiter.

A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held on June 18, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 1900 West Main Street, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.
