Orville D. Mason

Orville Dean Mason, 81 of Dover, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 11, 1944 in Dover, Arkansas to John Mason and Vesta Hicks Mason. He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Dorothy Mason; sister, Devonna Mason.

Orville proudly served in the US Army, where he learned to cook. He was a loving father, grandfather, and husband. He loved to watch his sons play music and loved to dance. He also loved fishing, going to auctions, or just staying in playing cards with his brother.

He is survived by his children, Jessica Allen (Patrick) of Dover, Justin Mason (Kayla) of Dover, Brian Mason of Dover; grandchildren, Nick Gilliland, Austen Gilliland, Michael Miner, Jayden Allen, Braydon Mason, Kyle Mason, Evan Mason; great granddaughter, Willow Broughton; three siblings, Shirley Sumners, Jim Mason, Linda Warnick, as well as several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
