Mattie Payne was always a very friendly person when I would visit with her. She worried about Lee working too hard and always seemed to have something nice to say about everyone.

Mattie was such a special person. I'm blessed to have known her for more than 40 years; and thankful that she continued to treat me as a part of the family. Nobody remembered dates like she did!

I am sorry to learn of the loss of Mrs. Payne. Although I didn't know her personally, it is always sad to learn that a family has lost a loved one. Many families have found encouraging articles on jw.org and maybe this website can help your family during this sad time. I hope the 'God of all comfort' will help your family during this sad time.
