Mary Catherine Porrett was born May 12, 1951, in Port Huron, Michigan to Charles Kinnie and Alma Louise Duckwitz Porrett. She passed away at the age of 74 on Thursday October 2, 2025, at the home of her daughter Jessica who was caring for her.
She lived in Camden and Magnolia, Arkansas, as well as Alhambra and Fontana, California, before moving to Russellville, Arkansas.
She was a librarian for much of her career before becoming the founder of the Adult Literacy Program in Alhambra, California. She enjoyed arts and crafts and playing games.
She is survived by her daughter Jessica Coyle, her son Jeremy Pope, her grandson Michael Lance Menendez, her sisters Helen Porrett Redd and Rose Chamberlain, and her brother Charles Porrett.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Margaret Davis, Arthur Porrett, Jean Stout, Carolyn Cueller, Charlene Piercy, and Joyce Mitchell.
Services are scheduled for October 25, 2025.
Cremation arrangements are under the watch of Russellville Family Funeral.
