Lynn Ellis, 72 of Hector, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023. He was born September 15, 1950 in Hector, to Al and Margaret Riley Ellis. He was preceded in death by parents; brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Sherry Ellis, brother-in-law, David Dollar and nephew, Allen Ellis.
Lynn proudly served in the US Army, where he was a helicopter mechanic. He worked at Outdoor Living Center for over 30 years. Lynn was an avid car enthusiast. He was an excellent mechanic, where he learned so many of his mechanical skills from his father. He completely restored a 1964 1/2 Mustang and 1929 Model A. Lynn was the most generous, selfless human being you would ever know. He was always giving to others. He enjoyed spending time with his wife Renee and his sweet dog, Bella. His pride and joy were his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Renee Ellis; daughters, Lorrie Ellis (Yorker) of Russellville; Jamie Ellis of Russellville, son, Ron Ellis (Dana) of Scottsville and Josh Dollar of Arizona; grandchildren, Jodie Hamilton, Kelcee Sitzes (Drew), Jade Chisum (Jordan), Brant Collins (Avery), Hale'e Ellis, Taylor Ellis, Tyler Ellis and Xavier, Gavin and Renee Dollar; great grandchildren, River, Jax, Kenadee and Ellison; brother-in-law, Donnie Dollar (Sandy), sister-in-law, Yvonne Colburn (Quentin), numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Lynn's visitation will be 5-7pm, Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Russellville Family Funeral. His funeral service will be 10am, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Hector Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Kirk Orrell officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Ellis, Tyler Ellis, Brant Collins, Brandon Colburn, Drew Sitzes and Jordan Chisum.
Honorary pallbearers, Keith Marable, Rickey Parks and Donnie Dollar.
