Larry Dion Brents was a man whose love for his family defined his life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Ford, and his brother, Christopher Hurley.
He leaves behind his daughters, Linda Carr of Hattieville and Harlee Drew of Wisconsin; his son, Brentley Drew of Wisconsin; and his cherished grandson, Bryce Carr of Hattieville. He is also survived by his sister, Shelley (Dennis) Calloway of London, and his brother, Duane (Donna) Hurley of Morrilton, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dion’s greatest joy was his children and grandson—they were his world. While he could appreciate the thrill of a good flea market find, his favorite place was always wherever his family was.
He found happiness in life’s simplest moments. Known for his white t-shirts, shorts, and Nike slides, he carried a laid-back spirit and a heart bigger than most. A big heart can carry both deep love and heavy burdens—and Dion loved deeply, even on the days it was hardest.
He will be remembered for his love and his heart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Russellville Family Funeral on the account of Larry Brents.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18
