Kay Lee Smith

Russellville

Kay Lee Smith, beloved wife of Jim Smith for 58 years, peacefully passed away on May 6, 2024, at her home in Russellville, Arkansas. Born on August 19, 1939, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Kay was a devoted mother to her two sons and daughters-in-law, Corey and Jamie of Rogers, and David and Susan of St. Paul, Minnesota. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Abby and Bree of Rogers. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Ethel Sweeny Boatright, and her sisters, Darlene Cook and Betty Jo Carolan.  Kay was a born again Christian and accepted Jesus as her Lord and  Savior at the age of 43.  

 

A celebration of Kay's life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at The Alliance Church in Russellville. Arrangements are under the thoughtful care of Russellville Family Funeral. The burial will be at the Barton City Cemetery in Liberal MO at a future date.
