Joyce Williams, 82 of Dover, Arkansas, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 18, 2024 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born August 13th, 1941 at the Charlie Ragsdale Place in Bullfrog Valley to James Willard Ragsdale and Rose Etta Pelham Ragsdale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hairl Dean Williams; parents; one daughter, Charlotte Diane Wilson; one great grandson Kendall Ray Waterman; brothers, George Franklin Ragsdale, James Leonard Ragsdale and an infant sister.
Joyce Williams, a woman of faith, found her purpose in following God's path. She wished for times of peace and kindness, showing an abundance of love to everyone in her life. She lived a humble life, always seeking the wisdom of God to direct her actions. Her family, especially her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were the shining lights in her heart.
As a retired supervisor at Wal-Mart, Joyce had a special connection with the world, always reflecting happiness and comfort to those around her.
For 63 years, Joyce and Dean lived a content life filled with love. They enjoyed singing together, bringing joy to those around them. Joyce's songs ministered to others, and she generously shared her gift of singing in nursing homes, churches, and various events across the United States.
Joyce had a passion for recipes, keeping handwritten notecards, journals, and books. Alongside her love for gardening, she harvested, dehydrated, and canned vegetables, showcasing her resourcefulness and hardworking nature.
An active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Russellville, Arkansas, Joyce volunteered her time in various ways, expressing her love for her church family.
She extended love and wisdom unconditionally to her family and friends, leaving an imprint on each person's life. As we cherish the beautiful memories, we will forever miss Joyce.
Survivors include her five children, Gaylon Dean Williams (Virgie), Kenneth Warren Williams (Tamara), Gaynell Nicole Baker (Zakary), Travis Dean Williams (Amber), Waylon Brent Williams; five grandchildren, Vanessa Revis (Ryan), Krystal Farris (Michael), Ryan Williams, Warren Williams, Ashlyn Salyers; seventeen great grandchildren, Kayden Revis, Kylan Revis, Nate Johnson, Stevie Perry, James Perry, Amia Combs, Zoey Baker, Zaxstan Baker, Flex Baker, Finn Baker, Traylon Williams, Emmett Williams, Emilia Williams, Nova Williams, Kynliegh Williams and Bentley Williams; six siblings, Vernon Ragsdale (Janice King), Johnny Ragsdale, Betty Walters, Eudola Pepper (David), Lowell Ragsdale (Fran), Gwenna Brandon (James); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many friends.
Joyce's visitation will be 5-7pm Monday, January 22, at Russellville Family Funeral. The Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 at Russellville Family Funeral with burial following in Owens Cemetery in Dover with Pastor Don Turnipseed officiating and special speakers Elder Michael Soper and Pastor Robert O’Bryant. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
Pallbearers will be Gaylon Williams, Kenneth Williams, Travis Williams, Waylon Williams, Warren Williams, Traylon Williams, Emmett Williams, Zak Baker, Ryan Revis, David Pepper, and James Brandon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zaxstan Baker, Flex Baker, Kayden Revis, Kylan Revis, Bentley Williams, and Nate Johnson.
