Johnnie Laverne Meadows, 89 of Russellville, Arkansas, moved to her heavenly home, Tuesday, January 16, 2024.  She was born August 8, 1934 in Dover, Arkansas to Scott and Euleta McCain Turner. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Cecil Craig; her loving husband, W.B. Meadows; three sons, David Meadows, Eddie Meadows, Dennis Meadows; grandson, Robby Wells; sister-in-law, Virginia Turner., as well as numerous other sisters-in-law and brothers-in- law.

She loved all of her family dearly.  She lived a long, blessed life, instilling strength and wisdom in her children and grandchildren.  Everyone enjoyed listening to her, especially her stories and insights.  She and W.B. would sit and talk for hours.  Aside from spending time with her family, she enjoyed quilting and flowers.  

She is survived by her children, Linda and John Henry Jones of Russellville, Scott Meadows and Carol of Dover; brother, Robert Turner of Hector, sister, Elaine Hagar of Van Buren; daughters-in-law, Velma Meadows of Dover, Brenda Meadows of Russellville, Marsha Meadows of Dover; sister-in-law, Lily Meadows of Dover; grandchildren, Marshal Watson and Andrea of Bentonville, David Meadows and Tiffany of Dover, Jayme Meadows and Charmin of Dallas, Texas, Jeff George and Tonya of Dardanelle, Eden Teague and Cary of Russellville, Courtney Putnam and Jesse of Russellville, Dustin Wiliker and Jessica of Atkins, Jackie Duffel and Mikey of Russellville, Turner Meadows and Samantha of Dover, Carmen Quain and Matt of Dover; great grandchildren, Ashlynn Watson, Jaxton Watson, Ethan Meadows, Ivy Meadows, Savannah Payne, Garrett George, Kaden Eakin, Ashton Eakin, Hudsyn Meadows, Fynlee Teague, Parker Teague, Bella Teague, Carsyn Hardy, Jemma Putnam, Johnnie Putnam, Dalton Wiliker, Audrey Wiliker, Savanna Gullett, Baleigh Rudder, Christopher Duffel, Rayleigh Duffel, Dixie Meadows, Mason Meadows; ten great-great grandchildren; nieces, Melissa Turner, Susan Turner; nephew, James Bradford, as well as several other nieces, nephews and other family and friends. 

Her visitation will be at Russellville Family Funeral, 2-3pm, Saturday, January 20, 2024, with her funeral service beginning at 3pm, with Bro. Roy Chisum officiating.   Her burial will be private in Shannon Cemetery in Treat, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral. 

Pallbearers will be David Meadows, Marshal Watson, Jeff George, Jayme Meadows, Dustin Wiliker and Turner Meadows.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesse Putnam, Cary Teague, Mikey Duffel and Matt Quain.

The family would like to thank the staff of Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation for their professional loving care to Johnnie and her entire family.
