John Snyder

John R. Snyder, 65 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, February24, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.  He was born June 14, 1955 in Oxnard, California to Grant and Mildred Thompson Snyder.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

John had a loving, big heart.  Family was so important to John. He loved working with his hands, especially helping Doris in her woodworking shop.  He inherited this trade from his father. He enjoyed sharing his stories and would help anyway he could.  John was also a cat daddy, to his four loving fur babies, Bogey, BaCall, Romeo & Buddy. 

He is survived by his wife, Sandie Snyder; his three children, Jeremy Snyder, Jennifer Snyder and Kimberly Snyder, all of the Memphis area; siblings, Doris Snyder, Russellville, Kathy & Mike Burke, Mammoth Springs, Mike & Ginger Snyder, Morrilton, Dan & Shelia Snyder, Atkins, Charlotte Scott, Atlanta, GA, Pat Vint, Dallas, TX, Julie Snyder, Russellville, aunt and uncle, Jock & Melba Davis, Russellville; sister-in-law, Jamie Bunnell and Tom, Detroit Lakes, MN; brother-in-law, Tommy & Anita Bunnell, Detroit Lakes, MN; numerous nieces, nephews; great nieces, nephews and other family and friends. 

John proudly served his country in the US Navy.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate John's life, 10am, Friday, March 5, 2021, at Bell's Chapel Assembly of God Church in Atkins.  

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
