John F Sears

John F. Sears, 66 of Atkins, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 at John McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He was born July 27, 1953 in Lawrence, KS to JM (Shelby) and Caroline Mitchell Sears. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Doyle Sears, James Paul Sears.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Sears; three children, Jeremy Sears, West Sunbury, PA; Jeff Sears, Russellville, Jennifer Sears, Pottsville; two stepchildren, Rebecca Lynn Caldwell & Ronnie, Munich, Germany, Aaron Caldwell & Amber, Overland Park, KS; eleven grandchildren, Tyler Sears, Kaylynn Sears, Logan Sears, Kavan Sears, Makayla Sears, Trenton Webster, Bethany Sears, Addison Welshans, Ashley Wood, Kaylie Sears, Emilee Sears; two great grandchildren, Jaxson Sears, Ansleigh Anderson; one granddaughter on the way, Kerrigan Sofia Caldwell;  brother, Dale Sears, Atkins; two sisters, Awyn Sears, Springfield, Karen Moyer, Kirksville, MO, several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

John proudly served his country in the US Army.  He loved to be at home with his family.  He enjoyed being outside, where he raised quail.  He will be missed by his family and dear friends, David & Diane Freeman and Susan Shinn.

Visitation will be 2-4pm, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Russellville Family Funeral.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.

John was more than just a man I knew....He was my Grandpa. My Papa John. He taught me things i would of never known...Ill miss him tremendously.

Its because of you I know the difference between a claw hammer and a roofing hammer, the difference in screw drivers, and the difference in 3/8ths an 9/16ths. Its because of you I learned respect, the importance of helping others, and many other Life lessons. You were my Father, my teacher, my mentor, and you were my friend. You'll be forever missed. That was an honor to get to know him he was an amazing man was always helping others he's the one that taught me many things about birds may you rest in peace and get your wings to watch over of us until we see you again
