John Buckman Sr.

John Buckman, 78, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away gently on September 17, 2025, at CHI Saint Vincent in Sherwood, Arkansas. Born on February 16, 1947, in Lauderdale County, island 34,Tennessee, to Paul and Edna Buckman, John’s journey through life was marked by love, laughter, and an unwavering faith.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, three brothers, two sisters, and numerous other cherished family members. In his absence, he leaves behind his devoted wife, Virginia Buckman, a proud daughter, Jonica Lynch (Greg), and a loving son, John Buckman Jr. 

John’s legacy continues through his grandchildren: Elise Loudermilk (Terry), Morgan Beavers (Corey), and Landon Buckman, as well as his great-grandchildren, Trayston Beavers, Jaxston Beavers, and A-Laura Loudermilk.

John embodied the spirit of a hardworking family man who dedicated his life to providing for those he loved most. As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he held a deep love for the Lord and generously served his neighbors, church, and family. He had a contagious energy, often becoming the life of the party, and his playful nature, coupled with a remarkable talent for whistling any tune, brought joy to everyone around him.

His unwavering support on the sidelines made him the loudest cheerleader for his family, and he took great pride in being the first person at church alongside his children and grandchildren. John instilled in his grandson a love for tractors, while sharing precious memories of his passion for old cars, antiquing, and the beauty of the outdoors. His jovial humor and mischievous ways will be remembered fondly, but above all, his profound love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ stands as his greatest legacy.

John will be deeply missed by family and friends alike, but the bonds of love will forever keep him close in our hearts. "See you soon, Pop."

Visitation will be held at Calvary Temple Assembly of God on, Monday, September 22, 2025. from 11 AM to 1 PM, with a service beginning at 1 PM, officiated by Pastor Jeff Lewis.
