Joann Irene Churchill, 66, of Clarksville entered into her eternal rest on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

She was born November 20, 1959, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Furmon Nunn and Velma Jones Nunn.

She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Johnny Nunn.

She is survived by her husband, David Churchill; two children, Jason (Christy) Collins of Clarksville, and Jennifer (Guy) Hawk of Stilwell, Okla.; five grandchildren, John (Katie), Eva and James Collins; and Zachary and Isaiah Hawk; her mother, Velma Jones; a dear friend, Traci Miller; and numerous other friends and loved ones.

Known affectionately as “Sweetie” by friends and strangers alike, and as “Nana” by her grandchildren, Joann took great pride in being a people person. A self-described “social butterfly,” she was a natural salesperson with a genuine love for connecting with others. Her warm and bright spirit touched many lives, and she leaves behind a legacy of friendship and love.

Graveside service and burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Pollard Cemetery near Dover with, Pastor Aaron Elmore officiating.  There is no visitation planed.  Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Russellville Family Funeral. 

Pallbearers will be John Collins, Zachary Hawk, James Collins, Isaiah Hawk, Guy Hawk and Sterling Penix.
