Jimmy McKnight

Jimmy Mcknight began his eternal life June 27, 2023. His spirit is carried on by his daughter, Crystal Ruiz, son in love, James Ruiz, and his brother, Jack McKnight.  He was reunited with his mother, Mattie “Charlene” Mcknight, who he missed dearly and never forgot. Jimmy was a devoted father, brother, and son. He served in the Air Force for over 11 years and was able to visit and live in many different countries. He was a veteran who  was deployed during Desert Storm. Jimmy was full of fun. He often liked to play pranks on those he loved. He knew the value of silliness and laughter. He was a talented builder and finished many handmade projects throughout his life.  Jimmy loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He shared this joy with his only daughter, and took her camping every summer during her childhood.  Jimmy also passed on his love of literature to his daughter. They enjoyed reading many books together throughout the years. Whenever his family needed help, Jimmy was always there for them without expectations. Out of the many things he loved to do, being a father, was Jimmy’s favorite. He loved to be with his daughter and “bonus son”.  Crystal and James were blessed to spend many precious moments with him. Jimmy was a gentle and beautiful soul who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. 

His Life Celebration will be held at a later date, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Russellville.  

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
