Jerry Wayne Childress, Sr.

Jerry Wayne Childress Sr, 77 of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026 at Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway, Arkansas. He was born June 26, 1948 in England, Arkansas to Charles Washington Childress and Wilma Gladys Dixon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jerry Wayne Childress, Jr.; grandson, Trey Childress; siblings, Athlene Crites, Tom Childress, Charles Childress, Jean Wagner, Inez Pearson, Anna Jane Childress, Barbara "Bobbi" Sampley, Mervin "Mutt" Childress, Sammy Joe Childress and Van Childress.

He is survived by his wife, Patti (Bartlett) Childress, daughter, Trisha Childress Hill and Jason of Solgohachia, grandchildren, Shelby Childress; Haley Thomas, Brayden Hill, Zachary Hill; great granddaughter,Kaelyn Grace Childress and several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

His visitation will be 1-2pm, Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Riverview Baptist Church, 123 Riverview Rd, Oppelo, Arkansas, with the funeral beginning at 2pm, following visitation. Bro. Mike Atkinson will officiate. Burial will follow in Wolf Cemetery, Oppelo, Arkansas. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Russellville Family Funeral. Pallbearers will be Brayden Hill, Zachary Hill, Tim Young, Brian Cooper, Christian Rodelo, Michael Guinn.
