Jason Lee Dotson

April 15, 1978 — January 5, 2026

Dover

Jason Lee Dotson, 47, of Dover Arkansas passed away January 5, 2026. He was born on April 15,1978 in Russellville to Ronnie and Virginia (Jenny) Dotson.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ronnie, his grandparents George Dotson and Belva Martin, James and Florine Clawson, his aunts Jane Clawson and Sharon Meyer, his uncles Todd Clawson, Leon Pendegrass and Dr. Kelly H. Meyer.

Jason is survived by his mother, Jenny Dotson, his children Matthew Gonzalez, Cody Dotson (Ryley), Gabriella, Isabella, Jase Dotson, his grandchildren Esaia and Mateo Marquez, and Asher and Kayson Dotson, his brother Justin (Allison) Dotson, his nephew and niece Jakob and Abigail Dotson, and his step grandfather Gene (Smiley) Vinson.

His aunts and uncles Dick Clawson, Elizabeth Pendergrass, Brenda Dotson, Cyndi Vinson, Ray (Melissa) Dotson, Teresa (Bruce) Beck, and Deidra (Tim) Dennis, and so many friends and extended family.

Jason had such an infectious smile. He lit up a room when he walked in. Such a friendly personality that he NEVER met a stranger. He was so very proud of his children and all their accomplishments. He enjoyed teaching them things he loved to do. One of his prouder moments was teaching Jase to hunt on the very same land that Ronnie taught him to hunt on and coaching them in a variety of sports.

Jason was so proud of being a grandfather. Family was important to him, and he was always encouraging family outings. Not just his immediate family but all family and friends were always invited.

In his youth, Jason was an amazing baseball outfielder and catcher. He played on the Houston Astro’s Scout Team for the Best of the West League for three years in Arizona while attending high school. He played college baseball for Scottsdale Community College. One of his bigger hobbies was watching professional soccer. He and his cousin Cindy would always tease each other while watching games including picking opposite teams on purpose! This is just one example of how his personality was. It was fun to watch!
