Jan Alice Ratliff

Jan Alice Ratliff, 72 years of age, passed peacefully on Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Russellville, Arkansas. Jan was born April 10, 1949 in Bronx, New York to the late Harrison and Helen Franke. She was the middle of five children, who all preceded her in death. Jan graduated from Kofa High School in Yuma, Arizona.

Jan married Merlin Don Ratliff, the love of her life, on July 8, 1967. Together they had four daughters, Sherry Marchand, Angela Cook, Kristie Betancur, and Misty Magnoli.

Jan was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family. She enjoyed swimming in her pool, listening to music, and sitting by the fire pit with friends and family with a glass of wine in hand. She was well known in the real estate community and was a broker with Remax properties of Montgomery Alabama. She loved helping others reach their real estate goals for several years.

Simple pleasures brought Jan great joy. She loved reading her bible, praying for and with others, and volunteering at church events at Christ Church, Montgomery, Alabama She was often found watching her children and grandchildren participate in sporting events and activities. She was always their biggest fan. Jan was an avid Wheel of Fortune and Hallmark Channel, enthusiast. Jan grew in faith and marriage being an active leader in Marriage Encounters and Paseos ministries.

Jan Ratliff is survived by her loving husband, Merlin Don Ratliff, her four adoring daughters, Sherry Marchand, and spouse Brian Marchand, Angela Cook, and spouse Michael Cook, Kristie Betancur, and spouse Derrick Betancur, Misty Magnoli and spouse Raymond Magnoli – now deceased. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren Ryan Cook, Travis Marchand, Laura Pendley (Marchand), Katlin Betancur, Rebecca Betancur, Gabrielle Betancur, and great grand daughter Riley Nicole Cook. She is preceded in death by her eldest granddaughter Megan Nicole Cook

Monday, September 20th at 5:00-7:00 pm

Celebration of Life to be held Tuesday, September 21st at 3:00 pm
