James Marion "JM" Hill, 91 of Atkins, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026. He was born July 21, 1935 in Bass, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvis Devoe and Mary Ethel Duck Hill and his daughter-in-law, Debbi Hill.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, earning the Triple Crown Award, for harvesting three deer, using three different weapon methods, archery, muzzleloader and modern gun, in a single season. He also harvested a bear and enjoyed sharing that amazing story. He was a member of Happy Valley Assembly of God Church, where he also drove the church van.
He is survived by his son, Charles Kenneth "Kenny" Hill of Atkins; his daughter, Rena' Kelley of Heber Springs; grandchildren, Michael Kenneth Hill & Tiffany; Christina Broussard & James; Deronda Ferguson; Ryan Kelley & Taylor; Jena' Kelley & Jasmine Murphy; great grandchildren, Chloe Hill, Breanna Hill, Cindy Zepeda, Joey Broussard, Ava Rodriguez, Alexa Martinez, Corey Jones, Devin Roberts, Rory Kelley, Jack Kelley, Laurel Kelley, Hailey Carpenter, as well as several other family and friends.
His visitation will be 5-7pm, Monday, August 24, 2026 at Russellville Family Funeral. His graveside funeral service and burial will be 10am, Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Pisgah Cemetery, under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
