Glenna McCurrie Shoop

Glenna A. McCurrie Shoop, 82, of Russellville, passed away June 7, 2017 at her home. She was born January 8, 1935 in Gumlog, AR to Elggy McCurrie and Lily Duvall McCurrie. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand mother. She was also well known in the Friendship Community. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Odell and Tonno McCurrie; sisters Chloe Long and Nina Watkins; and a great granddaughter, Haley Crail. Glenna is survived by her husband of 63 years, Derrell Shoop of Russellville; three sons, Wilford Shoop and wife Brenda of London, Ricky and Jeffery Shoop of Russellville; one brother, Jimmy McCurrie and wife Sandy of Russellville; two sisters, Leora Richardson and husband Alford of Buckeye, Arizona, Trella Kendrick and Husband Larry of Atkins; one grandson, Glen Shoop and wife Peggy of Pottsville; one granddaughter, Carrie Dickey of Pottsville; four grandchildren, Chris Shoop, Will Shoop, Taylor Crail, Skylar Crail and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be at 3pm, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Shiloh Cemetery in Atkins under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Children’s Hospital of Little Rock and Friendship Community Care of Russellville.
