Gene Ferguson

Gene Ferguson, 88 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023.  He was born December 12, 1934 in Claredon, Arkansas to William Andrew Ferguson and Jewel Bertha Norris Ferguson.  He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Gracie Ferguson. 

Gene was a member of Russellville First Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed hunting.  He had an uncanny ability to remember birth dates.  It was incredible how he remembered not only his immediate family members, but also his great nieces, great nephews, presidents and famous actors. If he was ever told a birth date, he did not forget it.  Gene was amazing in so many ways. 

He is survived by his brother, Herb Ferguson and wife Linda of Russellville; nephews and nieces, Michael Ferguson and wife Leesa, of Little Rock, Deanna Freiling and husband Steve of Conway, Debbie Hemmer and husband Rick of Russellville, Mark Ferguson and wife Julie of Conway, as well as several other family and friends. 

His visitation will be 10-11am, Thursday, June 8, 2023, with the funeral starting at 11am, at Russellville Family Funeral. Bro. Mike Norberg will officiate.  Burial will follow in Hudson Cemetery in Russellville, under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral. 

Pallbearers will be Mark Ferguson, Rick Hemmer , Steve Freiling, Rob Walker, Chandler Caudill and Marcus Hubbard, Jr.
