Gary Wayne Daniels

Gary Wayne Daniels, 74 of London, Arkansas, died April 26, 2020 at University of Texas Southwestern William P. Clements Hospital. Gary was born September 23, 1945 in Morely, Missouri to Rulo and Imogene (McFall) Daniels.

Gary was a U.S. Navy Veteran where he proudly served as a diver. He retired after 25 years of service with GTE. Gary was of the Lutheran faith and a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Augsburg. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Michael Daniels and Kenneth Daniels.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Daniels; one daughter, Stephanie Hollinger (Roger) of Russellville, AR; one son, Chad Daniels (Rosella) of Fayettville, NC; one step daughter, Leanna Baker (John) of Hendersonville, TN; two grandsons, Zachery Ross (Olivia Ford) of Russellville, AR, Nicholas Rubeck of Mt. View, MO; step grandchildren, Chloe Baker, Hayden Baker, Charlotte Baker of Hendersonville, TN; one great grandson, Milo Ross of Russellville, AR; two nieces, Diana McLean (Gary) of Lee, IL, Genia Daniels of Madison, WI; one nephew, John Daniels of DeKalb, IL.; three aunts by marriage, Ruby Graham, Rose Isaacs, Judy Daniels all of Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Bradford of Clinton, AR, Doris Abercrombie of Ozark, AR; numerous cousins, friends and his Navy Brothers all over the U.S.  

Graveside service will be 10 am Monday, May 4, 2020 at Zion Augsburg Lutheran Cemetery officiated by Pastor Joshua Ralston. The family and funeral home staff invite others to attend provided we all observe social distancing and the wearing of masks. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral. 

Pallbearers will be Zachery Ross, Hayden Baker, John Baker, Gary McLean, Jerry Standridge and Dennis Ward.

In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 93 Augsburg Road, London, AR 72847.

I have been a friend of Gary's since junior high days. He was always friendly and outgoing and we shared many laughs and good times throughout the years. He will be truly missed and will always be fondly remembered. Our condolences and prayers go out to you, Shirley.

I enjoyed many years of spending time with him and have many fond memories. it is sad to hear that Gary past. we were friends in Dekalb and Russellville. everyone liked Gary and his outgoing personality.

Rulo was a best friend of my husband Donald. He was best man at our wedding. Family had a German Shepherd when you lived in DeKalb and school kids teased him so much you gave him to our son Mark as we lived on a farm and he didnt have to be chained. Golly that was about 40 years ago.
