David Allen Harrell

David "Dave" Allen Harrell, 78 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 at the VA hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born October 8, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Walton Harrell Sr. and Theresa Mary Harrell; two siblings, Dolores Hudson, Duane Harrell.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Delena F. Harrell; son, David A. Harrell Jr.; bonus children, Rita Barthelme (Phil), Jeanice Brown (Rob), Judy Jerrell (Kent), Cindy Robertson; grandchildren, Jaxon Harrell, Delanie Harrell, Andrea Holt, BJ Barthelme, Candice Bankston (Keylan), Dustin Barthelme (Ashley), Kenneth Thomas, Matthew Brown, Timothy Brown, Rachel Jerrell, Nathaniel Jerrell, Joshua Jerrell, Jason Robertson; great grandchildren, Ethan, Emily, Ella, Eli, Serenity, Nolan, Atticus, Annika, Tristyn, Tucker, Jordan; siblings, Christine Livingston of Eden, MD , Naomi Dougherty of Salisbury, MD, "Chuck" Charles Harrell Jr. (Rebecca) of Willards, MD, Renee Steel (Donald) of Dover, DE , Kevin Harrell (Melissa) of Huntsville, AL and several other family and friends.

Dave proudly served in the United States Air Force. During his service, he received a certificate of training and worked an as aircraft mechanic. After his time in the Air force, he spent his working life as a truck driver. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son David. Cooking and experimenting with different dishes became a fun hobby for Dave. He liked to stay busy and always had a project going in the house. Outside the house he could be found working on cars and being a mechanic for anyone who needed it. Those who knew him will always remember him for his sense of humor and caring personality. His friends and family will miss him deeply.

A celebration of life with military honors will be 2pm Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 at Russellville Family Funeral Chapel officiated by Reverend Paul Thrasher and Brother Joshua Jerrell. Urn burial will follow in East Point cemetery at Mill Creek. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
