David Freeman

David Freeman, 69 of Pelsor, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 23, 1956 in Pelsor, Arkansas . He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Freeman and Ava Hicks Freeman; brothers, Finis Freeman, Johnny Freeman and Wendell Freeman, father-in-law, Sammy Shelton mother-in-law, Barbara Henderson;

David loved the Lord and attended the Lurton Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeler rides and anything outdoors. He was a good cook and was always whistling a tune. He enjoyed having a house full of people. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Cheryl Freeman; children, Lisa Smith & Greg, Josh Freeman & Chad, grandchildren, Emma Smith, Ethan Smith, Elaina Smith, sister, Eda Mae (Bill) Ralph, two brothers, Wilburn (Ruby) Freeman, E.L. (Brenda) Freeman; sisters-in-law, Shirley Freeman, Venitha Freeman, Jennifer Freeman, sisters and brothers in law, Karen Brasel (Harold), JR Shelton (Lisa), Joey Shelton (Vickey); honorary children, Rodney Adams and Beau Dake; as well as several other family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Hamm, Jerry Clayborn, Rodney Adams, Beau Dake, JR Shelton, Zach Freeman, Ethan Smith and Elaina Smith.

His memorial service will be 10am, Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Lurton Assembly of God Church with Pastor Stan Taylor officiating.
