Caffie “Cathy” C. Allen, 71, of Dover, Arkansas, died peacefully on Sunday Sept. 8, 2024 at Baptist Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on Aug. 19, 1953, in Dover, Arkansas, to Burl and Edith Mae McMinn Allen. A devoted homemaker, Cathy cherished her roles as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Family was the center of Cathy’s life. She found joy in simple pleasures like hunting, fishing, coin collecting, going to the casino, but nothing meant more to her than spending time with her loved ones. She especially loved her grandchildren, Boo Boo, Dillion, Joe David, Bubbie & Doodles. She was the best mamaw anyone could ask for. In her eyes her grandkids hung the moon. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of family.
She wasn’t a typical church goer but she knew the Lord Jesus and loved him with all her heart. She suffered a lot of tragedy in her life, but she managed to remain positive and brought so much love to our lives. Her infectious laugh will remain in our hearts forever.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jimmy Meadows; her daughter, Patricia Meadows; two grandchildren, Taylor and Jamie Goleman; and six siblings, Willy, Burl Dean, Troy, David, Billy Joe and Wanda Jean Allen.
She is survived by her daughters, Jerri Goleman (Justin) of Lamar and Bobby Joe Burch (David Mauldin) of Little Rock; her son, Matthew Meadows of Dover; nine grandchildren, Rebekah Maier (Zack) of Stuttgart, Dillion Meadows of Russellville, Joe David Mauldin, Justin Goleman Jr., Savannah Goleman, Haileigh Burch, Cyrus Goleman, Casey Jo Berry, and Allison Marie; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Bentley Maier; her sisters, Linda Hampton (Roy) and Brenda Lillard (Gary) and numerous nieces and nephews.
