Bruce Trefney, 69 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025. He was born April 8, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio to John Trefney and Elizabeth Palagyi. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Norman Higgins, nephew, Ken Albert.
Bruce had been an executive chef for over 40 years, working at Lake Point Conference Center for over 15 years. His passion was food, demonstrating his talent with food sculptures. He enjoyed gambling and supporting the Cleveland Browns, but his love was for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Sharlotte Rodriguez; his chosen children, Michele Barraza and husband Jesse, Mitch Rodriguez and wife Rebecca; Megan Walker and husband Jacob; grandchildren, Brody Barraza, Ezra Barraza, Skyler Duncan; his sister, Mary Janice Higgins of Alabama; nieces, Laurie Higgins and Ginny Register and husband Chris; great nieces, Morgan and Madison; his little boy (dog) Scrappy, grand dogs, Chuy, Tank, Sisu, Pibby, Bonnie, as well as several other family and friends.
His visitation will be 2-3pm, Friday, May 23, 2025 at Russellville Family Funeral with his funeral service starting at 3pm, following the visitation.
