Brenda Carolyn Millsaps, age 81, departed this life to go be with her savior, Jesus Christ, on Christmas morning, December 25. 2025. Brenda, also known as Mom, Nana, and Nan fiercely loved life and loved her famiy and friends. She was a giver, and loved doing for others, especially when it involved her church. She was known for always showing up at all the baby showers with a handmade quilt. She altered many prom dresses, as well as anything anyone would bring to her to take up. She loved celebrating all the "life" events, including showers, weddings, reunions, revivals, and singings. She always had a gallon jug of freshmade lemonade and fried apple pies, that never made it past the first round of servings.There is no telling how many fried apple pies, rolls and cinnamon rolls her loving hands touched all those years. You can be sure Nana is in Heaven's Kitchen right now baking her specialties.
She was an avid sports fan, who loved watching the Razorbacks, Dallas Cowboys, St Louis Cardinals, as well as ALL the local school sporting events. You could count on her arriving an hour before game time, with her wagon and lawn chair in tow along with treats for her children, grandchildren and great-grand children, as well as anyone else who might be playing.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Gertrue Hill, her husband, Glynn Millsaps, and her two sisters, Donna Riddle and Linda, and a brother, James. She is survived by her three children, Tami Davis, Shelly (Gene) Launius, and Randy (Maressa) Davis. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brittany (Zack) Coonfield, Angela (Clint) Craig, Brad (Lauren) Launius, Kaci (Will) Black, Bryden (Jenna) Davis, Aubren (Jon) Cox, along with twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She is also survived by six siblings, Sue (Roger) Lay, Tommy (Jo Ann) Hill, Jane Barton, Sharon ( Dickey) Barnett, Jeanie (BJ) McAlister, Tim (Sadra) Hill, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews, and many friends who were like family to her.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 1, 2026 from 4-6pm here at Russellville Family Funeral. Service will be Friday, January 2, 2026 at Pleasant Grove Assembly of God at 10am. Rev. Torin Johnson and Rev. Randy Davis officiating.
