Billy Ray Pinion

Billy Ray Pinion, 73 of Atkins, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at St Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.  He was born September 27, 1946 in Dermott, Arkansas to L.D. Marie Mays Pinion. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pat Suitt.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, LorNeva Pinion, son, Craig (Gail) Pinion, Atkins; daughter, Carin (Cody) McNabb, Morrilton; Grandchildren, Joseph Pinion, Lily Pinion, Chloe McNabb, Champ McNabb; step-grandchildren, Josh Avery, Justin Avery, Sarah Poulton, Chrissy Pierce; four great grandchildren; brother, Danny Pinion, Waldron, several other family and friends.  

Billy retired after 38 years with Firestone.  He did not slow down after retirement.  Billy was an avid golfer and a member of the Galla Creek Golf course and Country Club.  He was a sports enthusiast, following his grandchildren's sports activities.  His grandchildren meant the world to him.  He was their Pops. 

His graveside funeral service will be 10am, Monday, September 14, 2020 at Oakland Cemetery in Atkins under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.  There is no visitation planned.

Pallbearers will be  Dave Larson , Larry Bowden, Ron Keeneth, Larry Lewallen, Lonnie Napier, Terry Skinner, Jack Infield, Vernon White.
