Annie just popped up in my mind, so I googled her name and am so saddened to hear of her passing. We were friends in my freshman year of college at Evergreen. I remember meeting her outside the dorms and thinking she had such positive energy. She was so much fun to be around and talk to. She was brilliant and creative. I even had the chance to visit her in Chicago and meet her son a few years later after she had left Evergreen. Rest in peace, dear Annie. I'm so sorry for your family's loss.

Annie was the best "work mom" I could have. Beautiful inside and out. Truly one of the smartest people I've met. She had a way with words that made everything seem easier.

Annie had the kind of soul that was always lit up and shown bright around her. She was always welcoming and loving to those close to her. I knew I could always count on her to be there for me and to lean on. Getting to bond over shared hardships was always a bittersweet moment, yet a calming one. She had a passion for writing in only a way a brilliant mind like hers could. I know I will greatly love and miss her as I imagine many others will. Rest in love, Annie.
